Married to Margie, they have two children and three grandchildren. The Mizak’s reside in Wyomissing and are members of St. Ignatius Loyola parish in Sinking Spring.

Michael received his degree in Accounting and Business Administration from Bucknell University. He is a management consultant working with profit and not-for-profit organizations. He was most recently Chief Operating Officer with SafetyCare Technologies, LLC in Reading and is a certified public accountant.

Previously, he was Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer for the local newspaper. His years of diversified business experiences have focused on leadership, strategic planning, and financial management.

Currently, Michael has had substantial not-for-profit involvement in the community over the years and has worked with almost two dozen organizations in Berks County, many in significant leadership positions over multi-year periods. He is a longtime supporter of John Paul II Center for Special Learning in Shillington, a Diocesan school serving children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. In 2013 he and Margie served as the Berks County Chairpersons for the Bishop’s Annual Appeal.
