John Boyer

Schuylkill County

Married for 35 years to Carol, they have four children and four grandchildren. The Boyer’s reside in Orwigsburg and are members of St. Ambrose parish.

He received his degree in Finance from the University of Delaware in 1979.  John and his three siblings are the owners of Boyer’s Food Markets a group of 18 supermarkets located in central Pennsylvania. 

Currently, John serves as a member of the Nativity BVM school board, is a past Chairman of the Schuylkill Economic Development Corporation, is the Treasurer of Schuylkill County Municipal Authority, Vice Chairman of the Orwigsburg Municipal Authority and serves as Chairman of the Blue Mt. Recreation Commission.   John is a member of Legatus of the Lehigh Valley and the Orwigsburg Lions club.  In 2012 and 2014 both he and Carol served as the Schuylkill County Chairpersons for the Bishops Annual Appeal.
